Biography
Professor of Civil, Architectural & Environmental Engineering, teaches courses on water and waste water treatment, environmental chemistry, environmental microbiology and other environmental related topics. Dr. Rihana-Abdallah's publications and presentations deal with physicochemical and biological processes and their role in determining contaminant bio-availability and the potential of in-situ bioremediation. Dr. Rihana-Abdallah is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She joined the university in 2000. She is the recipient of the 2000 Research Paper Award of the American Chemical Society, Environmental Chemistry Division, as well as the 2000 Graduate Student Award of the American Chemical Society, Environmental Chemistry Division. She also received, in 1998, the Outstanding Student Research Paper Award of the American Geophysical Union, Hydrology Section.
