Biography
Taessa Malone-Carter '22 has been working at Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ as the assistant dean of Academic Operations for more than nine years. Her previous roles include associate dean of Nursing at Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD), interim director of Nursing Education and nurse educator at Detroit Receiving Hospital, home care nurse, director and assistant director of Nursing in long-term care for many years and other positions after her first role as staff nurse at Detroit Receiving in the Emergency Trauma Department.
Dr. Malone-Carter enjoys binge watching television series and old movie classics from several genres including gangster, horror, suspense and thrillers. Her favorite movie of all time is The Godfather, which she watches at least once per week. She loves shopping, which is her favorite hobby and also her worst habit.
Dr. Malone-Carter is excited about the next chapter of her life and new added role and responsibilities as the director of Clinical and Continuing Education in the College of Health Professions at Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ.
Her research interests include deaf and hard of hearing communication access and equity.
