Theatre Minor
Description
The 18-credit Theatre minor is designed to complement the experience of non-Theatre major students whose career goals include public appearances, presentations or performance in fields such as business, health, architecture, engineering, psychology, pre-law or social work.

Requirements for the Theatre Minor (18 credits)
The Theatre minor consists of the 18 credits (6 courses) below and a portfolio.
All students minoring in Theatre must take the following:
One Lower-Level Performance Course (3 credits):
Two Lower-Level Other Courses: Performance/Analysis/Tech/Design Courses (6 credits):

- TRE 1310 Introduction to the Theatre (3 credits)
- TRE 1320 Rehearsal and Production I (3 credits)
- TRE 1500 Fundamentals of Human Expression (3 credits)
- TRE 2550 Script Analysis (3 credits)
- TRE 2660 Stage Crafts (3 credits)
- TRE 2680 Acting II: Realism (3 credits)
- TRE 2700 Theatre for Social Change (3 credits)
One Upper-Level History/Analysis Course (3 credits):

Portfolio Requirement:
Individuals minoring in Theatre must present a portfolio of selected materials reflecting their academic experience within the Department of Performing Arts. This portfolio is not for academic credit. Students who do not submit a portfolio cannot be awarded the Theatre minor upon graduation.
