Biography
Dr. Stocker Schneider has taught in and served as coordinator of the Health Systems Management Masters in Nursing program since 2003. Her areas of expertise include nursing informatics, the measurement of nursing-sensitive outcomes, and quality improvement. Her research has primarily focused around the measurement of nursing-sensitive outcomes in the home care setting. She has over 14 years experience in nursing informatics, beginning with her work at University of Michigan with the research team that developed the Hands-on Automated Nursing Data System (HANDS). Dr. Stocker Schneider is passionate about developing nurse leaders who understand health systems, utilize nursing and outcomes data, support informatics integration, collaborate with stakeholders to improve care delivery processes, and lead systems change.
